3I/Atlas
About
3I/Atlas, by Braam Pretorius
A stranger appears on a gravel road outside Jacobsdal, South Africa, pale-eyed, and not entirely human. He calls himself the Man.
From that moment, nothing on Earth remains ordinary.
A small farming town becomes the world’s new epicenter. Animals behave strangely. Machines refuse harmful commands. The dead return, not as ghosts, but as unfinished stories restored. Thousands arrive from every corner of the world, building Tentown on the edge of the veld, believing Jacobsdal is now a space portal.
Five ordinary people; a mechanic, a sheep farmer-pilot, a butcher, a dominee turned warrior, and a pig farmer, are drawn into a global struggle against the Priests, a force older than religion and colder than logic.
Earth is no longer hidden.
Humanity is being watched.
And the question is no longer “Are we alone?”
It’s “Are we worthy of being found?”
A genre-breaking fusion of sci-fi, spiritual myth, Afrikaans dust, and cosmic wonder, RI/ATLAS is a story of return, resurrection, and the terrifying beauty of a world waking up.
